Education, (3) years of Experience in estate planning and trusts, Continuing Education, Testing, & Abide by AAFM Ethics Criteria. |

What educational requirements does this designation have? |
| Practical Educational Experience includes 3 or more years of work in a trust department or similar. Completion of recognized educational courses. You may receive preference with a masters degree, MBA, CPA, CFA, trust or estate planning certificate, PhD, DBA, or Law Degree from an accredited university or college along with relevant industry experience. Managers, executives, and professionals with 5 or more years of experience may take our 5 day on-site executive training courses with exit exams to secure AAFM designation in 10 different nations. |

What examinations must be passed to receive this designation? |
| Candidates must complete AAFM self study course, other relevant courses, approved certificates, or existing designation training of which would be reviewed by the Board of Standards. Masters degree, CPA, PhD, CFA, and other degrees and designations may apply to meet educational and testing requirements. |
